Kyle Chalmers' father has broken down on live radio as he accused Swimming Australia of failing to provide a duty of care to his son at the Commonwealth Games.
Speaking on Adelaide's Mix 102.3's to presenter Ali Clarke on Tuesday morning, Brett Chalmers praised his son for addressing the negativity from the media surrounding the 'love triangle' also involving fellow swimmers Emma McKeon and Cody Simpson.
Mr Chalmers also felt Swimming Australia should have offered more support to the champion swimmer.
'It's a form of bullying and harassment, these people (media) get away with it, they destroy people's lives,' he said before breaking down.
