An unprecedented four nation bid to host the FIFA World Cup in South America has been officially launched Tuesday.
The proposal will see hosting duties shared by CONMEBOL nations Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay, and Chile in 2030.
That year will mark the 100th anniversary of the playing of the first FIFA World Cup in Uruguay back in 1930.
The host nation won that tournament, defeating Argentina by a score of 4-2.
