Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer has been sued for sexual battery by the woman who publicly accused him last year of choking and punching her during two sexual encounters.
The lawsuit is the latest chapter in the ongoing legal battle between the suspended MLB star and Lindsey Hill, who is countersuing Bauer in a federal courthouse in Los Angeles in response to his defamation suit against her filed in April.
Hill, who was 27 when she says Bauer sexually assaulted her in April and May of 2021, is accusing Bauer of attempting to silence her by suing her for defamation.
Attorneys for Hill did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com's request for comment.
In her filing, obtained by DailyMail.com, Hill seeks unspecified damages and reiterates accusations she made against Bauer in 2021.
'Bauer has again victimized Hill by leveraging his considerable resources to file a meritless lawsuit based on Hill’s exercise of her legal rights in speaking with the proper authorities about what had happened,' read her legal filing.
'Bauer’s disgraceful message is clear: battered women should remain silent, because neither the police nor the courts will protect them from a rich man scorned.'
