Parramatta fans have lashed out at Brad Arthur following the club's pitiful performance against South Sydney, with growing calls for the coach to be dismissed from his post.

The Rabbitohs completely out-muscled Parramatta's big pack to record a whopping 26-0 victory over Arthur's side, with Latrell Mitchell running riot on a dismal night at Commbank Stadium.

The Eels are desperate to win their first premiership since 1986 and Arthur's side were tipped to be among the frontrunners this year, but Friday's defeat sees them drop to sixth and they're showing little sign of boasting the defensive solidity to mount a challenge.
