Brandon Jennings hit out at the state of the NBA, bemoaning the amount of player power within the league and claiming there are only a 'couple guys' that 'love the game.'

The 2009 first-round pick, most known for his time with the Milwaukee Bucks, called the NBA a 'players league' - an apparent reference to player movement in recent years - and also criticized load management.

'NBA gotta change it’s rules,' Jennings tweeted Friday night.

'For one whoever made this a players league was the stupidest thing ever for the game of basketball.

'If I’m a fan of the game of basketball why would I go pay to watch players that can Decide whenever they want to play.

'It’s only a couple guys in the NBA that love the game!!!Outside of the NBA kids make so much money now you think they care.' 

As Jennings correctly noted, the league has certainly seen players - top ones, at least - take their careers into their own hands in recent years.

Anthony Davis forced his way out of New Orleans with two years left on his contract, James Harden - on two separate occasions - has sulked his way into trades, and Kevin Durant reportedly wants out of Brooklyn just a year after inking a four-year extension.

Jennings had some ideas. 

'Naw I feel like it was CP3, Bron and them… speaking on Players this and that,' he said when asked if former commissioner David Stern was to blame.
