José Mourinho's side slipped to its first defeat in Serie A as they were surprisingly crushed 4-0 at Udinese on Sunday, with Gareth Southgate watching from the stands.

The Three Lions manager attended - presumably to monitor the progress of World Cup hopefuls Tammy Abraham and Chris Smalling - on an evening that the Giallorossi will want to quickly put behind them.

And Southgate will not have left with many highlights from his two prospective players, as Smalling's defensive unit shipped four goals and Abraham failed to get on the scoresheet.
