A majority of the action takes place on Sunday, and that's also where daily Fantasy sites like FanDuel and DraftKings are focusing most of their big-money NFL DFS tournaments. It's a loaded NFL DFS player pool with stars such as Derrick Henry, Ja'Marr Chase, Jonathan Taylor and Patrick Mahomes all in action.
But a lot of big-name stars also mean plenty of tough choices for your NFL DFS lineups. Top NFL DFS picks for Week 1One of Gibbs' top NFL DFS picks for Week 1 is Jets wide receiver Elijah Moore at $5,100 on DraftKings and $6,000 on FanDuel. The Ole Miss product showed promise as a rookie in 2021, putting together a 43-538-5 receiving line in just 11 games. He was an end zone magnet late in the season, scoring five times from Week 14 on. That stretch included an 8-141-1 performance in Week 16 when Joe Flacco was the starting quarterback.
Flacco will start in place of the injured Zach Wilson (knee) on Sunday, so that chemistry should pay off for Moore. Gibbs also likes that Moore is facing a Ravens team that plays a lot of man defense. Baltimore had the fifth-highest rate of man coverage last season and Moore was 44% more likely to draw a target against man rather than zone. He's perfectly positioned to go off in this one, so be sure to include Moore in your Week 1 NFL DFS lineups.
Another one of the NFL DFS picks that Gibbs is eyeing: Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts ($5,700 on DraftKings, $6,000 on FanDuel) as Atlanta takes on the Saints. Pitts was the highest tight end ever selected in the NFL Draft, when he went off the board at No. 4 overall in 2021.
The Falcons got him involved quickly, targeting him 110 times as a rookie as he piled up 68 catches for 1,026 yards. He'll need to be more productive in the red zone after scoring just once last season. But with Calvin Ridley suspended for the season, Pitts is the clear go-to option in this offense, especially with rookie Drake London (knee) listed as questionable for Week 1.
