AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan did his best Patrick Swayze impression after Friday's finals game; leaving Delta Goodrem breathless after twirling and dipping the Aussie singer during an impromptu dance.
Goodrem was performing one of her iconic songs for a packed MCG function room prior to the Lions vs Demons clash before McLachlan stepped up to ensure she was not sashaying through the room alone.
A surprised and delighted Goodrem continued singing 'Sitting on Top of the World' as the footy boss twirled the singer with expert precision.
He then left her breathless - invoking memories of the iconic movie performances of Swayze and Kevin Bacon in Dirty Dancing and Footloose respectively - dipping her with one arm while she was mid-note.

It prompted laughter and a small curtsey from Goodrem as the crowd warmly appreciated the impromptu performance with the retiring AFL CEO.
Goodrem took to social media to thank McLachlan for the 'good fun', while one prominent pundit labelled the down-to-earth footy boss 'twinkle toes' for his slick dancing moves.
One fan, who filmed the hilarious scene, said it may well turn out to be the 'highlight of the AFL finals', though many avid footy fans were slightly more sceptical given the Lion's incredible heart-stopping victory on Friday night.
