Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch said Patrick Bamford may be ready to start his first game in two months at Crystal Palace this weekend.

Bamford has not played since August 13, when he limped off during the first half of the 2-2 draw at Southampton with an adductor injury, compounding a desperately grim year. A persistent foot problem limited him to just 68 minutes of football beyond September last season.

Marsch, whose side are looking their first win in five Premier League matches as their strong start has stalled, revealed 29-year-old Bamford had trained well this week. He said: I think he is ready to go and I think there a high likelihood he will be ready from the start.’
