Toni Kroos has remained tight-lipped over his plans for the future, with Real Madrid fans still uncertain after Carlo Ancelotti hinted that the German could retire at the end of the season. 

The midfielder - who retired from his national team despite winning the World Cup in 2016 - is one of the keys to Real's huge success in the last decade, but could not be drawn into a confirmation of his intentions. 

His current deal is up in 2023 and he may find it difficult to land another long-term deal at the club due to their long-standing tradition of moving players, meaning his insistence he will end his career with them could come sooner than expected.
