Gary Ballance will not return to Yorkshire duty until after his disrepute charge is heard by the Cricket Discipline Commission, throwing his future at the club into doubt once more.
Ballance, one of seven individuals summoned to appear before the CDC later this month following an ECB investigation into allegations of racism at the club, did not report for winter training with the rest of the first-team squad at Headingley this week, as he wants to focus on getting the disciplinary process out of the way first.
The 32-year-old, Yorkshire's highest-paid player, has not played a professional match for the club since signing a new lucrative, three-year deal in September 2021.
It was anticipated that the ex-England batter would return to action during the final month of the 2022 season, after publicly apologising
