England captain Harry Kane touched down in Doha ahead of the World Cup on Tuesday night and vowed to make the country proud of Gareth Southgate's team.

Kane and the rest of the England squad arrived on a private charter from Birmingham at 8pm local time and headed straight for their luxury training base at the Souq Al-Wakra hotel, ten miles south of Qatar's capital city.

Southgate's team arrive at the tournament in uncertain form but ahead of England's Group A opener against Iran on Monday, Kane asked the country to unite
