France's star striker Olivier Giroud has provided the Socceroos with some ammunition ahead of their opening World Cup clash, admitting that Les Bleus haven't even started doing their homework on an Aussie team they're expected to beat easily.

The AC Milan spearhead was asked how his side are preparing for the clash on Wednesday morning (AEDT) and seemed unfazed by the team's lack of preparation - despite the fact France were pushed hard in a 2-1 win over the Australians at the 2018 World Cup.

'I don't know if they have exactly the same squad as 2018,' Giroud admitted on Thursday night.
