Trevor Sinclair has admitted he turned down the opportunity to work in Qatar during the World Cup because his 'morals aren't there to pick and choose', just months after apologising for saying that 'black and brown people' should not mourn the Queen.

The 2022 World Cup has been the centre of criticism as a result of Qatar's poor human rights record, particularly in relation to migrant workers and the host nation's stance on LGBTQ+ rights.

In a message on social media, Sinclair insisted he was not judging any pundits for travelling to Qatar, but revealed that his 'morals' prompted him to reject an opportunity to work there during the tournament.
