Aussie fans who have ventured to the Middle-East for the World Cup are livid at the last-minute booze ban enforced by Qatar authorities as spectators say the city atmosphere is 'flat'.
Qatar made a shock backflip decision on selling alcohol at stadium venues that was confirmed by FIFA two days before the World Cup opener.
It is believed the decision is for the benefit of the local population and the minimisation of security concerns as Qatar remains a city with strict alcohol measures.
One Aussie fan, Warren Livingstone, who is the leader of Australia's fanatic group said the announcement was poorly received.

'I think people will be disappointed,' Livingstone told FoxSports.
The leader is one of 250 fanatics who have travelled to Doha for the first ever Middle-East host nation tournament and believes the decision was not 'World Cup spirit' like.
'It’s not just the fact that you can’t drink but I think just the whole process and the way they did it ... I think that’s what has disappointed people the most,' said Livingstone.
