Alan Shearer has slammed VAR's involvement in the World Cup's opening match between Qatar and Ecuador as the discussions about television officiating were raised for the first time in the tournament.
Ecuador's strike inside the first-half's opening exchanges was chalked out for offside as the eventual victors were forced to endure a long wait to find out if their goal would stand.
