This is my fourth World Cup and though it feels very different from the others, everyone has been welcoming. I thought the arrivals through the airport was really slick. It was a lot easier than getting into South Africa in 2010 and Brazil in 2014.
You can really tell there is a World Cup on. You walk around the city and everyone is focused on the tournament.
