No single player can replace injured Socceroo Martin Boyle, according to Socceroos great and analyst Craig Foster, who has called on every player in the squad to help fill the void.

Foster had earlier predicted the speed of Boyle to be a major threat against France, hoping the Socceroos star would be able to seize upon a slow transition and get behind the French defensive line in counter-attacking raids.

Now that Boyle has officially been ruled out, Foster says the responsibility will fall on all the attacking players to pile the pressure on France - and insists coach Graham Arnold can't fall into the trap of playing too defensively.

'He has proven himself a burgeoning superstar.

'So there are various options open to Graham Arnold, the real question is how is he going to approach that game?

'But I think pretty much all of Australia, certainly all of the Australian football community don't want to see a repeat of the approach in 2010 against Germany which was a very defensive, cautious approach.

While Martin Boyle will not take part on the pitch in Qatar because of injury, the Socceroos star has promised to give his all in his new role as team 'Vibe' manager.

'Not really sure I can put this into words how gutted I am to withdraw from the World Cup squad. Gave it my all
