World Cup matches are generally played at high stakes and fans have added more pressure onto the US-England game on Friday, claiming the loser must indefinitely keep James Corden within its borders.

England is in strong form and will only need a win out of Group B's remaining two rounds of fixtures to progress to the tournament's knockout stages, following its 6-2 drubbing of Iran. 

The US, meanwhile, is still in search of its first victory in Qatar after conceding a late penalty to Wales in a 1-1 draw, Monday.

'USA vs England this Friday whoever wins getting custody of James Corden,' one fan tweeted.

Another fan suggested that the winner 'gets' UK-born rapper 21 Savage, who was arrested on immigration charges in 2019 after it was revealed that he had been staying in the US unlawfully since his non-immigrant visa expired in 2006. 

The rapper previously stated he was from Atlanta, Georgia, and is currently allowed to travel within the US but not abroad while his case is still pending

'I've seen loads of tweets saying the loser of England v USA keeps James Corden. As an American and a fan of England, I've never wanted a game to end in a draw as much as that one,' another individual said.
