USA fans were left fuming at MLS Cup winner LAFC on Monday after it struggled to toe the line as Gregg Berhalter's men played Wales in its first World Cup game.

The USMNT were in action in its first World Cup game in over eight years but was held to a disappointing 1-1 draw by Group B rival Wales, whose goal came from a Gareth Bale penalty in the 82nd minute.

Bale, of course, has played for LAFC in Major League Soccer this year and scored in the MLS final against Philadelphia Union but was looking to inflict misery on his adopted country in Qatar.
