Happy Thanksgiving to all of you in the United States.  For those outside the USA, Thanksgiving is a truly magical time of year where we all gather together trying to avoid our in-laws, politics, and burning our houses down - yet somehow, we fail every year.

If you're in that need to escape, the National Football League has an exciting slate of games set for Turkey Day. We'll start with the Bills and Lions to get our palate started. Our main course will hopefully be a feast that will see the Cowboys and Giants devour some points. To top all of that off, we'll have the Patriots traveling to Minnesota to sneak a win from the Vikings.

We also have two interesting games on Sunday - the Packers are back in primetime on Sunday night against the Eagles while the Titans try and get revenge on the Bengals from last year's loss in the AFC Divisional round.

Time to heap that plate high with offerings of football everyone. Welcome to Week 12 of the NFL season. Here are the Dailymail.com picks for games to keep an eye on...

Game 1: Buffalo Bills (7-3) @ Detroit Lions (4-6)

Thursday @ 12:30 pm ET (CBS) / Ford Field, Detroit, MI

Just as those on the east coast will be putting the finishing touches on their feasts, the Buffalo Bills will be returning to a familiar site.

So, Buffalo will be going back to the same place they played last week - and had to close out a tough game late against the Cleveland Browns.

Meanwhile, this Lions team is riding high after picking up their fourth win of the season - and their third in a row - by shocking the Giants at MetLife Stadium. They'll hope to repeat their feat and win their first Thanksgiving game since 2013.

Game 2: New England Patriots (6-4) @ Minnesota Vikings (8-2)

Sunday at 8:20 ET (NBC) / U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, MN

By the time we've all settled down for coffee, pie, and other delicacies at night, we'll also be tucking in for a late game that sees two teams fighting to stay in the playoff hunt.

Last week, Cowboys @ Vikings was our pick for Game of the Week. It might have been the worst game of the entire year. Minnesota looked lost, uninspired, and crippled on offense and the defense had the tensile strength of a toothpick against Dak Prescott.

But don't worry because the Patriots offense looked similarly uninspired against the Jets -
