Instead, it was an actual skunk that found its way into the stands as Cleveland came back from a 17-10 third-quarter deficit to beat Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 23-17, in overtime. The Browns improve to 4-7 with the loss while the Bucs fall to 5-6.
The skunk appeared around halftime in the lower bowl of the stadium and was last seen hiding beneath a step, according to Cleveland.com. Some fans tossed food at the frightened member of the Mephitidae family, which tried its best to stay clear of human contact. There were a few scary moments when the skunk appeared to be trapped under a step, but it was able to escape.
