Former Liverpool winger Ryan Babel has told his fellow countryman Cody Gakpo to snub Manchester United for another club in the Premier League.

The 23-year-old striker has been in electric form for Eredivisie side PSV this season, with 12 goals and 15 assists across all competitions.

He is also proving himself on the international stage, having scored against both Senegal and Ecuador in the group-stages at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Gakpo's form this campaign has caught the eye on numerous elite clubs with United arguably being the front-runners at present.

Babel, however, has revealed that although he would love the Netherlands star to join his former club Liverpool, that he should find a team that suits his playing style.

Babel told The Athletic: ‘You see him linked to clubs in England, such as Manchester United. Everyone has the right price so let’s see how he develops in the tournament.
