The resignation of the entire Juventus board came a few hours before the Italian media released the wire-taps revealing the club's internal war. 

Many of the interceptions are featured in the newspaper La Stampa. Among these are allegations made by the current sporting director Federico Cherubini about his predecessor Fabio Paratici. 

It has emerged from telephone calls in July 2021, Cherubini spoke on the phone with the financial director Stefano Bertola. The topic of conversation was Paratici, with Cherubini accusing him of putting the club at risk by sacking Maurizio Sarri and Andrea Pirlo within the space of 12 months.
