Six years ago Enzo Fernandez was a teenager defending Leo Messi on social media, today he’ll line up alongside him in a World Cup last-16 game as the revelation of the Argentina team and top of Real Madrid’s wanted list.

Fernandez took to Facebook to defend him from the abuse his decision had received and urge him to rethink.
