Former USMNT coach Bruce Arena has given his thoughts on what team USA needs to do in order to move forward following their elimination from the World Cup in the 3-1 loss to Holland, while writing for MLS.com.
Arena is currently the head coach and sporting director for MLS's New England Revolution. He was also the head coach of the USMNT when they embarrassingly missed the World Cup in 2018.
The most important things mentioned by Arena were that the U.S needed to start playing against better teams, and of course the impending decision on whether Gregg Berhalter remains in charge of the team going forward.
'We need to play better teams moving forward. That will be the challenge over the next three years or so, going into North America 2026, to get our team ready for the World Cup,' Arena said.
