WNBA star Brittney Griner's release from a Russian penal colony following a prisoner exchange has sparked a wave of gratitude for the Biden Administration, but Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons isn't biting.

After the President's Twitter account announced that Griner was 'on her way home,' the All-Pro linebacker responded in a since-deleted tweet.

'We still not voting for you!' Parsons wrote.

He also reacted negatively to news that the Biden White House failed to secure the release of Paul Whelan, the retired US marine entering his fourth year in Russian custody on espionage charges.

'Wait nah!!' Parsons added. 'We left a marine?!! Hell nah.'

Griner, the WNBA star imprisoned on marijuana-related drug charges in Russia, is currently en route to San Antonio from the UAE, where the US conducted the prisoner swap for arms dealer Viktor Bout, known as the 'Merchant of Death.'

She began playing in Russia in 2014, and was returning to the country in February when she was stopped at the Moscow airport with what Russian authorities claimed to be vape cartridges containing cannabis oil. Ultimately Griner was convicted in August and sentenced to nine years in a Russian penal colony. A subsequent appeal was denied in October.

Parsons went on to clarify that he's happy to see Griner's safe return, stressing that he does not support Biden or former President Donald Trump.

'My last tweet was no shot at Brittney Griner,' Parsons wrote. 'I'm super happy she's back home as she should be. I just have family who have served and it's crazy to me the President wouldn't bring him home too. I'm the furthest thing from a trump supporter but I'm not a fan of Biden either.'

But Parsons wasn't done there. Rather, he then admitted that he should have held off on his previous tweets.

'Just spoke to some people that I respect and trust, Parsons continued. 'I should have been more educated on the topic and not tweeted out of emotion for my family and other who have served. For that I apologize.

'Also if what I’m told about the attempts to bring Ret Marine Paul Whelan home are true then the best outcome was accomplished. I pray Mr. Whelan comes home but am extremely happy for Brittney and her family. I am not too prideful to admit when I’ve made a mistake.'
