Brazil icon Pele has thanked France superstar Kylian Mbappe for wishing him well after being treated for a respiratory infection at a hospital in Sao Paulo.
The 82-year-old, who won the World Cup in his career three times in 1958, 1962 and 1970, was admitted to hospital to treat a respiratory infection that was aggravated by Covid.
Pele is, however, showing signs of improvements as he is now reportedly showing 'stable signs', is 'conscious' and is 'without further complications', according to Brazilian publication Globo.

The Brazilian legend has even taken to social media to thank PSG forward Mbappe for his kind well wishes on Twitter.
He posted: 'Thank you, Kylian Mbappe. I'm happy to see you breaking another one of my records in this Cup, my friend.'
The tweet was in response to Mbappe's post, saying: 'Pray for the King.'
