‘That little three-year-old girl watching her first City game here could never have dreamt of this moment,’ Morgan, the 22-year-old defender, tells Sportsmail ahead of the Manchester derby. ‘I had a look around the stadium the other day and, just standing in the stadium, I felt ready to play then. I can’t wait, it’ll be a great crowd and atmosphere.
‘My first football memory was City beating Bolton 6-2 here… Shaun Wright-Phillips and Nicolas Anelka scored. Shauny was my absolute favourite growing up. He was so exciting, fast and tricky - every time he got the ball, the crowd were on the edge of their seats as he always made stuff happen.
