Karim Benzema's agent Karim Djaziri has added further fuel to the fire regarding the forward's bust-up with Didier Deschamps after publishing evidence about his reported injury that saw him miss the World Cup.

Benzema was sent home on the eve of the tournament after picking up a knock, but there was some speculation that he could have returned for the final after playing in a friendly for Real Madrid.

However, he reportedly rejected the opportunity to go back to Qatar after falling out with manager Didier Deschamps, and took to social media to confirm that he has decided to call time on his international career after the final defeat.

Benzema had reportedly felt his injury was only minor and there was no need to be sent home as it only required three days of treatment at Real Madrid's training base.

He is said to have wanted to stay with the French squad to receive treatment, but was sent away from the camp by Deschamps.

And Djaziri has now taken the bust-up to a new level after posting evidence on Twitter which claims that Benzema would have been fit for the last-16 round of the tournament and there was no need for him to be sent home from the squad.

He shared a video which included images of Benzema's injury after tests were carried out in Qatar which led to him being ruled out.

Accompanying the video, Djaziri said: 'I put that there but before that I consulted 3 specialists who confirm the diagnosis that Benzema could have been fit from the last 16 to at least be on the bench! Why did you ask him to leave so quickly?,' in a clear dig at Deschamps.

Spanish outlet Marca had previously reported that Benzema would have been fit for the World Cup knockout rounds after needing just a three-week lay off from the injury he suffered on November 19.

When France played Poland in the last-16 on December 4, it was reportedly the same time as Benzema was off on holiday on the island of Reunion.

The report states the French striker went on holiday in perfect condition while on that day, Deschamps had definitively ruled out him returning to Qatar to join the squad.

The posts from Djaziri questioning the legitimacy of Deschamps's actions to rule out Benzema come after Spanish news outlet AS reported that French team-mate Antoine Griezmann felt too much social media coverage was spent on the Real Madrid striker and not covering him during the build up to, and during the tournament.

The report goes on to claim that Griezmann was 'concerned' over how little he appeared on social media compared to Benzema, which nearly prompted an 'executive meeting' with the
