Social media users are poking fun at Sol Campbell after he posted a list of his footballing achievements on Twitter in an outrage over not being named in the New Year.

The former Arsenal and England defender said he has seen 'a lot of people' being awarded honours for services to sport, before making it clear that he felt he should be among them.

Posting a series of tweets, Campbell stated eight reasons as to why he should have been included, but his tweet has been met with as met with a flurry of memes of social media. 

The rant was labelled 'bizarre' by one fan, while another added: 'This is what happens when you surround yourself with people who don't challenge your laughable opinions.'
