Mikel Arteta was insistent that his side should have been awarded 'two penalties' in their 0-0 draw with Newcastle on Tuesday evening at the Emirates. 

The Spaniard was visibly frustrated in the latter stages of the game, protesting against perceived injustice towards his side and time-wasting attempts from the visitors as they looked to see out a stalemate against the leaders. 

And although he was involved in a touchline row with opposite number Eddie Howe in response to his protests, his side ultimately were not awarded the penalties he thought they deserved.

'Extremely proud of my players,' he told sky Sports after the game. 'The way we played, dominated the game, tried and continued to control the game.
