Former Australian fast bowler Damien Fleming has pinpointed - in his eyes - the moment his Test career ended.

Now a respected media identity with Channel 7 and SEN Radio, the 52-year-old recalled how he refused to wear the baggy green to Wimbledon in 2001.

Then captain Steve Waugh pushed for the playing group to don the iconic cap in a show of support to fellow Aussie Pat Rafter ahead of the men's singles final versus Croatia's Goran Ivanisevic.

Three players ignored Waugh's request - his twin brother Mark, Fleming and the late Shane Warne.

Fleming never played another Test for Australia - and if he had his time again, would follow
