The NFC East champion Philadelphia Eagles will try to continue their home dominance against the New York Giants when they host their division rivals on Saturday in the 2023 NFL playoffs. Philadelphia (14-3) extended its winning streak versus New York in the City of Brotherly Love to nine games with a 22-16 victory in the regular-season finale two weeks ago. The Eagles have not lost to the Giants at home since Week 8 of the 2013 season. New York (10-7-1) is coming off a 31-24 win at Minnesota during Super Wild Card Weekend of the 2023 NFL playoff bracket.

Kickoff at Lincoln Financial Field is set for 8:15 p.m. ET. Philadelphia is an eight-point favorite in the latest Giants vs. Eagles odds from Caesars Sportsbook, while the over/under for total points scored is 48. Before making any Eagles vs. Giants picks or predictions, you need to see what SportsLine's resident New York expert, R.J. White, has to say.

White, a fantasy and gambling editor for CBS Sports, consistently crushes against-the-spread picks and went 445-378-24 on his ATS picks from 2017-21, which returned $2,542 to $100 players. He's also an incredible 39-19 on his last 58 picks involving the Giants, returning $1,779 for $100 bettors.

He's well-known for cashing out big in the Westgate Las Vegas SuperContest twice since 2015. White also chased big on his NFL futures in 2021, including nailing Jonathan Taylor as the NFL rushing leader at 10-1. Anyone who has followed White is way up.

Why the Eagles can cover

Philadelphia's late-season struggles can be attributed to the absence of Jalen Hurts, who missed two games with a sprained shoulder but came back to help defeat New York in Week 18. The 24-year-old did not perform at his highest level in the victory, but didn't need to since the Giants sat many of their starters after having already clinched a wild-card berth, throwing for 229 yards without a touchdown pass and gaining only 13 yards on the ground. Before his injury, Hurts had 22 TD tosses while running for 760 yards and 13 scores, which tied for second in the NFL.

The Eagles ranked fifth in the league in rushing during the regular season with a ground attack that featured Miles Sanders and Hurts. The 25-year-old Sanders was fifth in the NFL with 1,269 rushing yards and eighth with 11 TD runs, both career-highs. Philadelphia also has a not-so-secret weapon in Boston Scott, who has recorded nine of his 16 career rushing touchdowns and his only TD reception in the NFL against the Giants. The 27-year-old running back has found the end zone in each of his eight career games versus New York. See which team covers the spread here.

Why the Giants can cover

New York went a disappointing 2-5-1 over its final eight contests, but turned in an impressive performance in its first playoff performance since 2016. Giants quarterback Daniel Jones threw for 301 yards and a pair of touchdowns while leading the team in rushing with 78 yards in the wild-card win at Minnesota. The effort was a continuation of a strong regular season from the 25-year-old from Duke who was drafted sixth overall in 2019, as he set career-highs with 3,205 passing yards, 708 yards on the ground and seven rushing TDs.

Running back Saquon Barkley, who was fourth in the NFL with a personal-best 1,312 rushing yards and ran for 10 scores, recorded two TD runs in last week's victory. The Giants lacked a top-notch receiver all year, but Isaiah Hodgins provided optimism for the future in his first postseason appearance. The 24-year-old hauled in eight passes for 105 yards and recorded a touchdown for the fifth time in his last six contests. See which team covers the spread here.
