Eddie Nketiah scored twice, including the winner late on, as Arsenal beat Manchester United 3-2 in a crucial game at the top of the Premier League.

Marcus Rashford opened the scoring for the Red Devils from 25 yards, only for Nketiah's opener - a header - levelled proceedings. Bukayo Saka put Arsenal in front, but Man United's Lisandro Martinez got another equaliser from another header.

Then Nketiah stepped up to nab the winner in the 90th minute, and Arsenal sealed a crucial three points on the road to possibly capturing that Premier League title. Read Daniel Matthews' PLAYER RATINGS from Arsenal 3-2 Manchester United

Arsenal (4-3-3)

Aaron Ramsdale – Avoided conceding an early penalty after colliding with Fernandes. Could no nothing to keep out Rashford’s goal but fluffed his lines for Martinez’s equaliser. 5

Ben White – Some early thrust going forward but looked rattled after his booking. Was targeted by Rashford and Fernandes and made some uncharacteristic errors before half-time substitution. 4

William Saliba – Another unflappable performance from the Frenchman, who did well to limit Weghorst’s influence to well outside the Arsenal box. 7

Gabriel – Harsh, perhaps, but the Brazilian will wonder if he could have closed Rashford down before his goal. And whether he could have stretched to deny Martinez. 6

Oleksandr Zinchenko – Arsenal are at their best when he is on the ball. Grew in influence in the second half and then created Nketiah’s winner. Some player. 7.5

Martin Odegaard – Captain’s neat pass freed Xhaka to cross for Nketiah’s equaliser before some sumptuous skill nearly put Xhaka in on goal. Had his own effort deflected over. 7

Thomas Partey – His positioning and passing is so fundamental to Arsenal but he gifted the ball to Rashford before being skinned for United’s opener. Doesn’t happen often. 6

Granit Xhaka – Another driving, tenacious, tireless display. Put the ball on a plate for Nketiah to equalise after a smart run in behind and was a threat throughout. 7.5

Bukayo Saka – Was largely shackled by Shaw during the first half but burst into life after the break. Scored a fine Arsenal second and nearly had another. 7.5

Eddie Nketiah – Just keeps on delivering for Arteta and Arsenal. Striker had three golden chances: De Gea denied him once but he scored one fine header and won it late on. 8.5

Gabriel Martinelli – Never stopped running at Wan-Bissaka in what became a brilliant tussle down Arsenal’s left but struggled to have his typical influence in the final third. 6.5
