Manuel Neuer's skiing injury could have been 'a lot worse' if the emergency services had not been nearby with a 'rescue helicopter', according to reports.
The 36-year-old, who went skiing in Italy after Germany crashed out of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, fractured his tibia and fibula during the trip.
According to BILD, the 'open fracture on his right leg resulted in severe bleeding at the scene of the accident'.
