Fed up fans have urged the AFL to 'stop messing with the game' following the announcement of three more rule changes this season.

Among the changes include a 50m penalty that will no longer be paid if a player fakes a handball in an attempt to draw their opponent from their on-field position when standing the mark.

Another controversial rule modification will see players now given just a time warning of 25 seconds when taking a set shot near the posts.
