Danny Murphy has hit out at Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag and accused him of whinging and whining about the treatment of his players.

The Dutchman wasn't best pleased by the actions of Andy Carroll in United's FA Cup win over Reading, which resulted in a long-term injury to Christian Eriksen

Carroll's tackle has left Eriksen sidelined for a number of months with an ankle injury and after the game, Ten Hag condemned the actions of the striker.

However, speaking on talkSPORT, Murphy seem to take exception to Ten Hag's gripes and suggested he should focus more on the positives at Old Trafford.

‘It sounds like he’s just whinging, whining.' Murphy stated.
