Tom Brady has retired with the most Super Bowl rings of any NFL player ever, but that doesn't mean he's the best quarterback Mike Francesa has ever watched.
The legendary New York radio host reunited with his former co-host Chris 'Mad Dog' Russo on ESPN's 'First Take' Wednesday - along with Stephen A. Smith - and offered some strong opinions on the quarterback after he announced for a second time he was hanging up his cleats.
While Francesa acknowledged that the former Patriots and Bucs star was 'great', he bristled at the notion he was the most talented to ever play the quarterback position.
'He's not the best regular season quarterback I've sever seen, Peyton Manning is. He's not the best Super Bowl quarterback who ever lived, Joe Montana is,' he said.
'What he is though, is the guy who played the longest, and he won the most games. He won the most Super Bowls so he will be remembered because nobody's gonna play 23 years and nobody's probably ever gonna have a chance to win that many Super Bowls.'
