Kansas City Chiefs' star quarterback Patrick Mahomes has revealed he didn't aggravate his high-ankle sprain in the 23-20 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship game.

The 27-year-old battled through the pain as he helped guide the franchise to the Super Bowl in Arizona on February 12.

He admitted he 'didn't feel good' in the aftermath of the dramatic AFC title win last Sunday but gave a positive update on Thursday afternoon.

Mahomes spoke to reporters as the build-up to the Super Bowl steps up, revealing he had some expected soreness but is in a good place with the big showdown 10 days away.
