Donna Kelce, the mother of Super Bowl brothers Travis and Jason Kelce has said she would perform perform the coin flip at the big game if the league awarded her the honor following a fan petition.
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce are set to make history as the first pair of brothers to play against each other in the Super Bowl, and fans on social media have campaigned for Donna to perform the coin toss before the game.
One fan named Amber Smith even created a petition on change.org for Donna to do the coin toss before the game, that has since caught the attention of both the Kelce brothers and their mother.
'Here's the thing,' Donna began saying, when asked about the petition on her son's New Heights podcast. 'There are so many legends and people that have their blood, sweat and tears on that field.
'And for a mom that's never played football, I don't think that's the right place for me to be.'
