The WWE is set to host this year's SummerSlam in Detroit for the first time in 30 years, marking the first time that a wrestling event is being held in Michigan since WrestleMania in 2007.
'We are excited for Ford Field to host WWE's biggest event of the summer and look forward to the WWE Universe converging on Detroit to celebrate SummerSlam's long-awaited return to Michigan,' said Dan Ventrelle, EVP, Talent at WWE.
Ford Field is already home to the Detroit Lions, of the NFL.
