Patrick Mahomes has been buoyed by his chances of playing injury-free at the Super Bowl, claiming that he'll try to play with 'no restrictions' against the Eagles in Arizona.
The 27-year-old quarterback sustained a high ankle sprain in the Chiefs' 27-20 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in the divisional round of the playoffs and was limited in his ability to run against the Bengals in the AFC title win (23-20).
He's been trying to shake off the injury in time for America's most-watched, annual broadcast on February 12.
'I don't know if I'll necessarily test it, but I'm going to try to have no restrictions,' Mahomes said of his ankle on Tuesday.
'Even in the AFC Championship game, I was trying to test it in and practice on it and do different kinds of stuff, but if there would be a play maybe if I was rolling out where I would kind of ease up on it.
