Anthony Davis has been labelled as 'petty' and 'jealous' after bizarre footage shows the power forward sitting down while Lakers teammate Lebron James drilled the record-breaking bucket to surpass Kareem Abdul Jabbar as the NBA's scoring leader.

ESPN's NBA analyst Jalen Rose, who used to play for the Pacers, Bulls and Raptors, didn't hold back on his assessment of Davis' numb reaction to the historical moment on Tuesday night, in LA's 133-130 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

'There's no way in God's green Earth that you can be sitting down when the greatest record in the history of basketball is being broken. Just as a fan of the game,' he said on ESPN's 'Get Up' morning show on Wednesday.

'Now take it a step further. As a player in the game on both teams and to drill down, even more, one of your teammates who's Lebron James, who you won a championship with in that same uniform.

'It comes off as petty. It comes off as if you're hating. It comes off that you're being jealous of the moment and when things like that happen, overarching, you feel like ''can they continue to play together?'''
