Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has appealed for patience in the club's pursuit of a new manager after Rayo Vallecano's Andoni Iraola turned down their approach on Wednesday night.
Just 24 hours after Radrizzani had hinted that a conclusion to their search for Jesse Marsch's successor was close, the Italian was more circumspect as negotiations reached an impasse.
Radrizzani had tweeted: 'We are on it. Hopefully white smoke by tonight or [tomorrow] morning.' But by yesterday, Radrizzani was posting: 'Not yet...need more time.'
