Former Premier League defender Michael Gray has hailed Jadon Sancho's cameo performance from the bench after he scored on his first Premier League appearance since October to rescue a point for Manchester United against their fierce rivals Leeds.
Sancho spent three months away from the United first-team amid concerns over his physical and mental wellbeing, but returned to action in the Carabao Cup last week, and was needed at Old Trafford on Wednesday after the Red Devils fell two goals behind early in the second half.
He was brought on just before the hour mark, and shortly afterwards Marcus Rashford pulled a goal back for the hosts with a fine header. It was then Sancho's turn to take centre stage 20 minutes from time as he picked the ball up just inside the area and placed his shot beyond Illan Meslier.
