JJ Watt will have plenty of free time now that he's done playing football, but it doesn't seem like he wants to fill it coaching the sport.

The legendary defensive end announced his retirement from the sport on December 27, and roughly a month later, his former teammate DeMeco Ryans was hired as the Texans' head coach.

With Watt describing the ex-49ers defensive coordinator as 'one of the best teammates and leaders I've ever been around,' it wasn't hard to imagine him sliding into an assistant coaching role on Ryans' staff.

But the three-time Defensive Player of the Year - at least currently - is not enamored by the idea of coaching.
