Vincent Kompany blasted the use of astroturf on the side of football pitches after Burnley captain Josh Brownhill slipped and was forced off as the Championship leaders were held to a goalless draw by Mick McCarthy's Blackpool.
'I'm very very against astroturf on the side of pitches - it makes no sense whatsoever,' said Kompany. 'I remember when they introduced it at the Etihad and Peter Odemwingie did his ACL in front of us.'
