Carlos Alcaraz appears to injure himself whilst CELEBRATING his winning goal for Southampton against Leicester, before he is subbed off... as Jamie Redknapp warns players need to 'be careful'

Carlos Alcaraz seemed to injure himself while celebrating a goal on Saturday as Southampton beat Leicester 1-0.

The 20-year-old scored the only goal of the game with a composed finish after a good run on the counter-attack, but appeared to pick up a knock during a botched knee slide in celebration.

His left leg bent awkwardly under his body during the slide, and the midfielder was subbed off shortly after half-time following a period of uncertain movement.

Mohamed Elyounoussi came on for Alcaraz as the Saints held on for a potentially vital three points despite a multitude of chances for the visitors.

Jamie Redknapp urged caution from the youngster after the apparent injury, as he told Sky Sports: 'It looked like he did it in his celebration when he did his knee slide. You have to be so careful with these things, because they need him.
