Rio Ferdinand could not hide his dismay as Manchester United rolled over and let Liverpool run riot in a six-goal second-half at Anfield on Sunday.

Erik ten Hag's high-flying United had their wings clipped by Jurgen Klopp's Reds with Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo, and Mohamed Salah all netting twice in the 7-0 victory.

Man United legend Ferdinand - who won every cup available to him during 12 years at Old Trafford - labelled his beloved club's thrashing as an 'absolute massacre' and told embarrassed stars to let the feeling of defeat 'sink in'.
